Self-guided walking & cycling holidays
Our self-guided or independent walking & cycling holidays are ideal if you are looking for flexibility and independence. You walk at your own pace, planning the day around your own interests. With luggage transfers provided by us, you can enjoy the walk and what the area has to offer with only a light day pack. We also provide detailed walking notes and maps so that you can concentrate on enjoying your surroundings and not have to worry about directions.
Our self-guided walking holidays typically follow a multi-day circuit going from one guest house to the next letting you fully experience a region at a relaxed pace. We have a varied choice of walks to suit all abilities ranging from gentle strolls through the Beaujolais Vineyards to challenging treks in the Alps. But whatever walking holiday you choose, savouring an authentic local experience is our watchword. Local delicacies, cultural delights and a genuine friendly welcome are all features of our unique trips.
We organise Guided holidays for private groups of 4 or more people. Our trips consist mainly of day walks from one or two centres allowing for a greater degree of flexibility in relation to the weather, as well as experiencing more of the highlights that each region has to offer. They also allow us to cherry-pick the best walking trails.
Our chosen destinations for our guided walking holidays are for the most part in quiet, secluded regions, away from the main tourist routes. We seek out unspoiled areas that are off the beaten track, where a true local identity and character still exists. Whether you're an existing walking group, a small corporate team or just friends looking to do something different or get away from it all, we can create a walking holiday adapted to your needs. Please contact us well in advance so that we can accommodate your requirements. Just get in touch and we'll be delighted to help.
We also run one-day guided walks as part of our tailor-made trips.
We can tailor our walking holidays to suit your holiday plans, for example by adding extra days in local towns or being accompanied by one of our expert local guides as you sample local wines or visit historic monuments.
We can also run segments of our walking holidays as part of a tailor-made trip. Whatever your plans, please get in touch.
