Our Expertinsight
“Christmas time is absolutely the best time of the year for me! I love the decorations, the festive atmosphere, the smell of hot wine (or chocolate!) and Nutella crepes! The closer you get to Christmas, the more magical your trip will be, with additional markets (the Christmas market by the Eiffel Tower usually kicks off around mid-December) and more events. However, some markets start as early as late November, and the festive spirit is already in the air! Despite being born and raised in Lyon, my all-time favorite Christmas market is in Colmar! Around the 8th of December, we celebrate La Fête des Lumières in Lyon, which is a spectacular event with light shows illuminating the whole city. It's genuinely an unmissable experience! Why not combine the charm of Christmas markets with this special event that takes place only 3-4 days a year?”
