Our Expertinsight

“The best way to experience the French regions of Normandy and Brittany is probably by car; the beaches and the cities aren’t always well connected, but we can consider booking taxis for transfers if you don’t want to drive. I highly recommend visiting this part of France from spring to autumn, but as the weather can change quickly, think to pack a waterproof jacket as well as a swimsuit! But if it does rain, it's the perfect excuse to go to a crêperie, a restaurant specialized in sweet and savory pancakes. The locals always eat them with a glass of local apple cider. And if you want to extend your trip, consider Deauville; it is a beautiful seaside resort known for its giant beach and its casinos.”

guillemet

Karolina was a delightful guide for the Eiffel Tower and Ann Isabelle for our visit to Mont St Michel and Cancale. Gwen was excellent Guide St Lo and Dinan. He even took us to the Bayeux Cathedral and tapestry in the morning as we had not seen it yet. Guillaume gave so much information and passionate stories as we visited the D-day battlefields and learned also about the older history of this area. Helen was a very enthusiastic guide for Montmartre, especially about French culture. The service and accommodations at all the hotels were very enjoyable. The staff of the hotel in Paris especially was absolutely outstanding. Just top shelf service and friendliness. All in all High Point Holidays helped us plan an interesting and fun exploration of Paris, Normandy and Brittany.

Before meeting and working with the High Point Holidays team, I had originally planned on spending all of my time in Paris and doing day trips out to Normandy to see Mont St Michel and the WW II sites. Instead, I began working with and iterating on a using those days for a stay in Normandy. The actual trip exceeded all expectations. The lodging, the trains, day excursions, were all exceptional. They picked the place in Bayeux which was fantastic. The town wasn't even on my radar and appreciate them having me stay there as it was so enjoyable. My wife and I felt special and knowing they were there and genuinely cared about us and wanted to ensure our trip was the best it could be. That is simply awesome! Thanks to the entire team.
