Surrounded by 8 hectares of lavender, thyme and oak, La Honas is at the intersection of two gorges, the Touournec and Ouveze which gives the place a remarkable beauty and tranquility. La Honas is a small guest house of 5 rooms, located in this unspoilt region of northern provence known as the Baronnies. It is situated not far from some pretty unspoilt villages such as Montbrun les Bain, classed as one of the prettiest villages in France. The region also forms part of what is known as the Drome Provencale.

La Honas
La Honas is a favourite stopover during our self-guided walking holiday in the Baronnies with walks begining and finishing at the guest house. It is also central to a number of other walks in the French Baronnies region.
Isabelle and Emmanuel will take great pleasure in welcoming you to their home in Southern France. La Honas has 5 individually styled rooms with traditional furniture and a predominance of natural stone. Some of the rooms have direct and individual access onto the inner courtyard. Here, or by the 12m long swimming pool you can relax in the glorious Provence sun after a day's walking and exploring.
Breakfast is a chance to enjoy a traditionnal breakfast including home made jams, cakes and, depending on the season the season, their lavender honey to help set you up nicely for your day's walking. They provide delicious evening meals, hearty family cooking with regional dishes. You may well be sharing the large dining table with other guests from all over the world, often walkers, adding to the fun and interest. Wine provided with the four course meal helps the evenings to go along nicely.

Les Baronnies is a secret and unspoilt corner of France where the Alps meet the Provence with beautiful historic villages clinging to rocky mountain sides decorated in purple lavender flowers.
Sheltered by the beautiful mountains, its privileged position and distinct climate gives the region a remarkable light that draws you into the rugged and unspoilt landscapes laid out before you. But it's not just your sight that will be bombarded, it is also a region where wild Thyme, Lavender, herbs and pine produce a wonderfully scented landscape.
