I’m the founder of High Point Holidays which I began in 2007 after moving to France with my Family, inspired by a passion for the outdoors and discovering new places and their identity. Whether it’s hiking trips or tailor-made adventures I have sought to cultivate a unique style of voyage where our customers, would experience, at their own pace, beautiful off-the-beaten-track destinations, overlooked by other companies.
I have lived, worked and travelled extensively in both the UK, France and further afield. I love creating new trips and during my travels, I’m always on the lookout for great new experiences for our customers. When I’m not out walking or travelling I’m at the gym, playing guitar or occasionally I can be found on the golf course.
His last trip
My last trip this summer was to the south of France, discovering the Ariège, a remote corner of France in the Pyrenees. After a quiet week in the green hills around Foix I headed into the mountains to ascend Pic Carlit and discover the magical landscape that surrounds it dotted 12 beautiful lakes.
His dream destination
Iceland, New Zealand and Patagonia! To name but 3 on a very long list!
A memorable experience
In May of this year, I visited Scotland and did several walks which were just stunning, proving that you don’t always need to travel far to create wonderful memories. Among the amazing walks were strolling along the white sandy beaches of the Isle of Harris, discovering the remote Loch Coruisk, on the Isle of Skye and summiting Ben A’an in the Trossachs at sunset.
