We also organise guided trekking holidays in such locations as the Alps and Africa. We also organise guided walking holidays to other destinations in Europe and Africa. Our offices are based in Dorset, UK, although we have a permanent presence in the Beaujolais region of France. High Point Holidays is run by father and son Tony and William Armstrong. Tony is based in our offices based in Dorset, England and William, who runs several of our guided walking France holidays is based in the Beaujolais region of France. Both have experience of walking many of the great trails all over the world. William is also an experienced climber and mountaineer and has considerable experience leading guided walks in France and the UK.

We have introduced a new date for our guided walking holiday in the French wine growing region of Beaujolais. Join us from 25th September to 2nd October for a week of moderate walking in a diverse and beautiful region where you’ll receive a warm welcome and enjoy great local cuisine and wine.

New Alpine Peak Bagging Guided Trekking Holiday

We are pleased to announce that we have introduced a new guided trekking holidays in the Alps aimed at those looking for excitement and adventure. The holiday is called "Alpine Trekking Adventure - Peak Bagging in the French and Italian Alps". This week long guided holiday in late July takes place in the Southern Alps in the shadow of the impressive Mont Viso and passes through the beautiful and relatively quiet Queyras regional Park. There will be the chance to summit five amazing alpine peaks above 3000m during the trekking holiday, the highest being almost 3300m, well over 10,000ft. No technical ability or equipment is required, just a good level of fitness, some mountain walking experience and a good head for heights. In addition the region has 300 days of sunshine a year.

New High Atlas trekking holiday slideshow

We are pleased to announce that a new photo slideshow has been added to our website. The slideshow has photos from our 2009 guided trekking holiday in the High Atlas, Morocco. The photos follow the group from the start of the trek in Imelil, over some high passes, through some stunning scenery such as as Lac Ifni, and includes their ascent of the highest mountain in North Africa, Jbel Toubkal. This guided trekking holiday includes 6 days and five nights on trek, with time to visit the exotic red city of Marrakech afterwards.
