Today your mystical, magical journey takes you to Oxford, one of the prettiest cities in England, where you’ll experience the historical locations that drove the ink in the pen of J.K. Rowling. Oxford University serves as the inspiration for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The city's historic architecture, including Bodleian Library and Christ Church College, inspired the magical settings in the books and was used in the film adaptations of Harry Potter. Oxford's charming streets and ancient spires provide a real-life glimpse into the enchanting world of wizards and witches, attracting fans from around the globe on Harry Potter-themed tours. Our Expertinsight

"Using trains provides access to key destinations on this journey through Britain, and it obviously gives you the impression you are on the Hogwarts Express, especially when, in some trains, you can buy snacks from a trolley like Ron and Harry did! However, if you seek more secluded and unconventional locations in Scotland, opting for a car is recommended. Should driving not be your preference, we can arrange a hired driver-guide for your convenience. For a memorable experience in London or Edinburgh, I strongly advise securing a dining reservation at the Hard Rock Café in advance, where you can also purchase souvenirs from the boutique."

Our trip was amazing. We did have a jammed packed itinerary, but it was great! So much to see/do/learn and boy did we! Traveling solo adult with (2) almost teens and we were all happily engaged. A nice taste of both England and Scotland.

We turned to High Point Holidays to plan our family's trip to the UK, and had a wonderful time! Overall, our trip was so lovely and memorable. Our specialist, Sarah, worked hard on the itinerary to find a balance between kid-oriented fun and educational/cultural items, as well as finding accommodations that would work for a family of four. The children especially loved the Harry Potter studios tour and the armoury exhibit at The Tower of London. We parents loved the ease of our days with private tour guides in both York and for four days in Scotland with Keith of Scotland's Highland Tours.
