We have assembled a range of walks to suit all abilities where an authentic local experience is guaranteed. Stunning landscapes, local delicacies, cultural delights and a genuine friendly welcome are all assured features of our walking holidays.

Our walking and trekking holidays in France range from gentle walking through the Beaujolais vineyards to a challenging trek around the Queyras in the French Alps. Don’t worry if you don’t speak much French, many of the locals have a good grasp of the English language. You’ll find that an open mind, warm smile and desire to communicate are usually enough to get by.

Our independent walking holidays in the UK are located in the highlands and islands of Scotland and the hills and Jurassic coast of Dorset in England.

Our independent walking holidays are suited to people who wish to have greater flexibility and independence. You walk at your own pace, planning the day around your own interests. Full walking notes are provided, along with 1:25,000 walking maps so that you don’t have to worry about finding your way. Our holidays typically follow a multi-day walking circuit going from one guest house to the next letting you explore the full richness of an area. Some give you the opportunity to have time off from walking to explore an area in more detail.  There is the possibility of adapting our independent walking holidays to your requirements. We also have self catering independent walking holidays for those looking for additional flexibility. It may also be a good solution for those on a tight budget.

Our holidays are for the most part full board and often include drinks with your evening meals. Some walking holidays are on a half-board or B&B basis. Please check each walking holiday description for full details. Travel from a local designated pick-up point is sometimes included, along with some limited transport for the week. Walks

Our independent walks usually consist of multi-day circuits or treks, where occasional rest days allow you time to relax and explore the local area in more detail. We transport your bags between guest houses, so you only need to carry the essentials.
