Pyrenees GR10: Part 1, Hendaye - St Jean Pied de Port

This self-guided walking holiday is the first section of a wonderful & dramatic 415km crossing of the Pyrenees Mountain chain between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. The walk covers a variety of landscapes typical of the Basque country, set in the heart of the Atlantic Pyrenees. The scenery has a charm and regional originality that you won’t find elsewhere. Rolling hills and magical villages, such as Sare, Ainhoa and Dancharia that are steeped in Basque tradition.

Pyrenees GR10: Part 2, St Jean Pied de Port - Etsaut

Second part of our long distance trail following the GR10 path along the length of the Pyrenees Mountain chain between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. The walking holiday starts in St Jean Pied de Port in Basque Country, weaving its way from village to village, before climbing into high mountain landscapes in the Bearn and reaching the village of Lescun, famous for its glacial cirque. Finish at Etsaut, gateway to the Pyrenees National Park.

Pyrenees GR10: Part 3, Etsaut - Cauterets

This walk is the third part of our long distance trail following the GR10 path along the length of the Pyrenees Mountain chain between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. Traversing the Pyrenees National Park, your week goes via the Ossau valley, with spectacular views of Pic de Midi d’Ossau followed by a succession of lakes, villages in stone and slate and a never-ending wilderness used for summer pastures.

Pyrenees GR10: Part 4, Cauterets - Luchon

This is the 4th part of our long distance trek following the GR10 path along the length of the Pyrenees Mountain chain between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean. Your walking itinerary makes its way through a succession of lakes, mountain passes, at more than 2000m in altitude, and mountain villages, as well as the Neouvielle Natural Reserve and its remarkable glacial lakes.

Pyrenees GR10: Part 5, Luchon - Aulus-les-Bains

This is the 5th part of our long distance trek following the GR10 path along the length of the Pyrenees Mountain chain between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean. Your walking itinerary crosses some of the wildest parts of the Pyrenees in the Couserons & Haute Ariege in a region famed for its large, open wild spaces with far reaching panoramas.

Pyrenees GR10: Part 6, Aulus-les-Bains - Merens

This section of the GR10 long distance trail goes from Aulus les Bains to Merens, in Haute Ariege connecting the western and the central sections of the Pyrenees with the Ariege part of the mountain range. This region is known for its high plateau landscapes, deep valleys hemmed in by soaring summits, sometimes covered with a sprinkling of snow, and mountain lakes whose waters change in colour.

Pyrenees GR10: Part 7, Merens - Vernet-les-Bains

From Merens the high mountains open up and offer wonderful hiking. You'll pass the numerous and beautiful Bouillouses lakes perched at 2020m altitude in the Carlit Massif, on the Cerdagne Plateau known for its far-reaching views and sunny climate. As well as some lovely mountain villages, you'll also discover the gorge of Caranca and the nature reserves of Mantet and Py on your way to Vernet-les-Bains.

Pyrenees: Mountains to Atlantic Ocean

This self-guided walking holidays, taking you from the Basque mountains to the Atlantic Ocean, follows the famous GR10 route, the great Pyrenees Crossing (415km from one sea to the other). This self-guided walking holiday explores a beautiful part of the central Pyrenees mountains in southern France. Your walk takes you up onto the sides of the delightful and luminous Azun Valley where you’ll marvel at the wonderful panoramas and the well preserved mountain villages. Four of the days have both moderate and more challenging walking options to suit different abilities and as the week progresses you’ll enter the stunning high mountains of the Pyrenees National Park.

Cerdagne Explorer: Lakes, Mountains and Hot Springs

The Cerdagne is a picturesque plateau, lying at 6000 ft up in the French Pyrenees.
