Discover the French Alps under its winter blanket of snow. Based in a wonderful 3-star hotel in Arvieux, our snow shoeing holiday will allow you to discover the most beautiful landscapes of the Queyras, as well as discovering a region full of unique traditions and architecture. Each day your guide will take you to a different valley in the Queyras Regional Park to discover the best this spectacular and relatively undiscovered Queyras Region has to offer. The Queyras is a landscape that offers far ranging panoramic views which are bathed in sunshine for 300 days a year.
This holiday is available as a moderate or challenging holiday. The moderate holiday is ideal for those groups looking to discover snow shoeing for the first time as well as experienced walkers looking for an easy week. The WalksModerate & challenging options. Moderate: Average walking days are about 4 hours 30 and include ascents of 450m. Challenging: Average walking days are about 6 hours and 950m of ascent. Moderate walks are ideal for novices and challenging walks for people with some snow shoeing experience. Many of the walks on both holidays take place above 2000m where the effects of altitude can be felt, and so a moderate to good level of fitness is recommended.
