Profiles: Mark

Mark Armstrong has spent most of his working life in retail and when redundancy happened back in 2011, he was able to use some of his time helping his brother, William, to grow and develop his relatively new travel business, High Point Holidays. Over recent years this involvement steadily increased, leading to becoming a partner and running the UK office.

Mark has lent support and advice to William since the company's inception and was able to build on William's foundations with developments to the brochure, newsletters and website along with building a social media presence. His aim is to further develop High Point Holidays' UK holidays.

He enjoys visiting areas of the UK, combining some walking with looking at the history, gardens and any other things of note in the local area. Recently, he explored an area of the South Cornwall Coast, visiting the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, 2 places that can be visited on High Point's walking holiday with a diversion and an additional day. The walking notes High Point Holidays provide to customers, combine clear instructions with valuable information about the area including places to visit and the background to help interpret the surroundings. Our new Hardy's Heart of Dorset walking holiday is an example of where the background information we provide is an integral part of the holiday.
