Beaujolais and Dombes - 4 days golf holiday

Just a stones throw to the north of Lyon in central eastern France are two fascinating regions, one famous for its wine and the other for its man-made lakes. Many of you will know all about the Beaujolais, but far fewer will be familiar with the region that sits just the other side of the river Saône: The Dombes. This area of gently undulating woodlands, wetlands and agricultural fields is ideal territory for golf and a number of quality courses have been developed over the last century. Side by side, these two regions offer the best of both worlds; with very good golf being matched by quality wine and gourmet food.

If you have free time on your arrival or departure day, you may choose to fit in another round of golf. If not, there is plenty to see and do including visits to the Beaujolais villages for some wine tasting, the medieval village of Perouges or France's second city and world heritage site, Lyon.

Day 1: Arrival Arrival at Hotel, relax or visit the area Days 2-5: Golf 18 holes golf per day on four different courses, from the Gouverneur, Bresse, Beaujolais, Golf de Lyon, Chateau de la Salle, Mionnay, la Sorelle. Tee times to suit your requirements and time of year. The rest of the time you can relax or discover the sights. Day 6: Departure If you have time before your departure you may wish to visit the area or fit in another round of golf (depending on time of your departure).
