GOLF BREAKS IN FRANCE

The area

Just a stones throw to the north of Lyon in central eastern France are two fascinating regions, one famous for its wine and the other for its man-made lakes. Many of you will know all about the Beaujolais, but far fewer will be familiar with the region that sits just the other side of the river Saône: The Dombes. This area of gently undulating woodlands, wetlands and fields is ideal territory for golf and a number of quality courses have been developed over the last century.

Side by side, these two regions offer the best of both worlds; with high quality golf courses being matched by fine wine and gourmet food. The Beaujolais is also a beautiful region of rolling hills with a rich architectural heritage. So when you’re not playing golf why not explore some of the perfectly preserved historic villages close by or visit a vineyard for some wine tasting.

The Courses

The golf courses in this region offer something for everyone. From the casual golfer to the low handicapper, there are courses to suit all levels and tastes. They benefit from being away from the main tourist spots and are therefore relatively quiet as well as being in good condition. Please follow the link to find out more about the 9 golf courses on offer.  We can pick courses to suit your handicap.

Just turn up and play

Once we have established the type of holiday package you are after, we can organise everything for you. All you need to do is: turn up at the golf course, register in the pros shop and then play. We will provide all the necessary information; for example, directions, your tee-off time and any dining arrangements you have asked us to make.

Holiday packages

We offer a number of basic holiday packages based on 18 holes of golf per day, at courses to suit your level, (with the exception of our special golf-mad package for those golfers really wanting to test themselves). However, you may wish to play more holes in a day, have a day off from golf to explore the area or even play a specific course. For example, if you choose to fly, you may have time on the morning of your departure to fit in another 18 holes.

Whatever your requirements we can create your perfect golfing break. We are both avid golfers and are ideally placed to create a holiday that suits you down to the smallest details. Just let us know what you would like and we will put together a specific package.

Interested, but not sure what the other half will say!? Well, why not bring her (or him) along and let us create a "his and hers" holiday for you both. Whatever your interests we can create a holiday that suits you both.

There are a number of basic conditions that must be met, in order to enjoy our golfing breaks. Please consult the dedicated page.
